The Supporting Cast

The process from sketch, to line trace, to colored finish is a long one. The sketches themselves aren't very long, usually taking about 15 to 20 minutes. The tracing is probably even shorter, since cleanup is easy to do once the penned version of the character is scanned in.

There are a total of about 24 characters to interact with in the Golden Anvil. I wanted to put a view here to show the process of transition from sketch to colored finish. These characters need additional touches such as adjustment to white tones, shadows and the like, but for the most part are at their finished state.

Over the next few days I would like to put up several of these to show the art direction of the game.
